MLCY has joined Yoga For Vets! The mision of Yoga For Vets is: "To provide a healthy and helpful resource to our war veterans, past and present. We provide listings of all yoga studios, gyms and teachers around the United States that agree to give 4 free lessons to all active duty military personnel including Reservists and National Guard members who served in a war or conflict. This offer also applies to discharged service members that served in any war or conflict dating back to WWII. Yoga For Vets intends to grow until free yoga is widely available to interested veterans."

Opening the Heart with Backbends
Saturday, July 26th
1:00 - 3:00 pm
Location: Maple Leaf Community Yoga
Have you ever wanted to spend a few hours understanding the principles behind backbends and experience them in a progessive sequence? In this 2-hour workshop you will be bending over backwards for no one else but yourself! Backbends help us move from the past into the present where we feel more alive and connected to ourselves. Come and learn how to do backbends safely, with awareness and with a deeper feeling of joy in the heart. They are wonderful to increase flexibility in the spine, create openness in the shoulders and hips as well as boost the energy of the entire body.
Prerequisites: at least 8-months alignment- based yoga
